my fav toothpaste

This might be insignificant but i hope netizens will make a lot of reviews on groceries stuff like cheap laundry detergent or place that sell cheaper fragrant rice.

Previously i use colgate 360 (medium) ever since i change to new softy tooth brush i find that i can't clean the inner side of my incisor well. The reason why I change to colgate slim soft (soft) is because my tooth have become more sensitive and i think soft bristle will do good. At least it won't scrap off my enamel. The sensitivity prob do subside but i don't get the squeaky clean feeling. Colgate triple action toothpaste is too mellow to work with a softy bristle. Then I change to Fresh & White with xylitol. Minty taste is not that strong but cleans better. I also get extra 50g with a great saving.

*how i met your father edition*

kids, when i hold a bun for more than 15 mins without any traces of crumbs around it means i severely need a soft diet. That's explain why i dont get excited watching donna hay cooking in her test kitchen today. Baked baguette + chunky romaine lettuce? Big turn off. After few months living without power chain attached to my braces it's hard to stay desensitized to pain.

If you have a bad tooth alignment like me, pls think through before getting a braces on. Lots of people end up whinning and regretting. Regarding your father...i think God just wanna keep him under the radar. Let's talk about me ok.

It’s already 10 Syawal. Metallic smile had undergone a lot of obstacle during raya. Btw, this entry is meant to highlight banding.....it’s actually having the braces on and makes your smile visibly metallic.

Ughhh...is that hurt?

My mokcik said it looks painful. She’s right but the most critical/ crucial pain was during the 1st week after banding. I bought a box of painkiller but actually i only need 'em for the 1st 2 days. After that the pain become more tolerable, perhaps my pain threshold have gone to the next league. Back then i was on soft diet for 1 week. Ya know...porridge, yogurt, ice cream......nothing crusty (a.k.a fried to crisp) it’s like subtly humming you ask for it...u got it. I do lose weight though perhaps exercise+ braces work wonders [ouhh so keen to make a good entry on my exercise regime].

Phbbtt? What obstacle

Well I was in hometown for raya and one of the brackets kinda fall off after an attempt to chew a not so tenderloin beef. And later the wire is poking my buccal mucosa. Developed ambivalent feeling about it..happy because I know my teeth moves a lot but at the same time it gives me a pain in a mucosa. Anyway, I received different reaction from kids. Some are curious to the extend of touching my braces and some even afraid……don’t want to shake my hand (lolz)

Describe the pain

Like a blunt trauma to your gum. Dull aching pain…..aggravated by chewing, relief by painkiller (the first 2 days). Any attempt to chew will be opposed by the pulling effect of the wire. Few hours after banding I went for a wedding reception and I can’t even chew small chicken bits. My advice, after banding don’t go to any public events. Coz you’ll drown in your own emotions.

tooth extraction pain

Last time i was writing about braces option that i have. After decided about the dentist and the budget (thanx mom n dad) last thing i remember i was already in dentist office making my teeth study model.

Study model
Its kind of making a statue of your teeth so that every visit you'll be able to see how much progress you've made. The process is simple, open your mouth.....they'll put something that you have to bite on--> wait for 3 minutes(to fix the teeth casting) --> done
-the cast taste like a silicone toothpaste....minty and soft in consistency

Tooth extraction
i think it wud be the hardest part. I've been living with 36 adult teeth and now i was asked to loose 4 of 'em
Anyway, the teeth extraction is not painful but its HOSTILE. Its like an abduction. But it left me with a lasting impression on dentist--> they really good at local anaesthesia, causing numbness and minor paralysis

Tips after tooth extraction:

• Dont be too excited on gargling water and flushing out blood. water will delay the hemostasis. Let the exposed socket covered with blood clot, fasten healing
• Oral hygiene shud be in the best condition. Use mouth wash e.g. thymol
• Cold and soft diet: eat as many ice cream you want, iced coffee, iced tea...whatever you please
• You might need to bite on more gauze if bleeding persist 
• Any pain or abnormal bleeding pls consult your dentist. After the 1st extraction the exposed socket became painful.....my dentist gave Amoxycillin.

braces for klang residents'

i've decided to get a braces for myself. since i live in klang i'm looking for a nearby clinic. doesnt matter if the practice is old as long as i dont have to pay toll i dont mind.

Usually i prefer female dentist coz in my mind they would be friendly and gentle (am not sexist yar). After doing some calculation for long term follow up, i know i have to say goodbye to my so called imagination.
